With the sky high fuel prices and inflation at its highest point in years, what things if anything have you cut back on?

Less driving?
Less junk food?
No more holidays/Vacations?
Less time using the computer to save power?

I personally have cut back on my electricity consumption and spending on random things like computer games and other technology like pc upgrades etc etc.

As im still living at home, all my disposable income is going to driving lessons, food and and other essentials to prop-up our house hold after the wage cuts my step dad has been forced to deal with.
Im on a heathy eating schedule anyway but i havnt had stupid foods like chocolate and crisps in 2 months which has helped ALOT!

I certainly drive less than I used to . . . also cutting back on frivolous things I want but don't need!

i'm hoping to get the front of the house triple glazed and some work done to increase insulation in the loft before next winter sets in, i've cut way back on using the OFCH also trying gonna reduce the amount of oil left in the tank as we had about 700 litres of oil stolen a few months ago.

less driving, but the cost of fuel doesnt affect me.  Just being responsible.

I dont really bother with holidays although i am currently on 3 weeks as of today...got an email saying i had 175 hours to take....so i'll guess i just sleep in till 2pm every day.

already eat healthy as am a gym monkey extrodinare

have 18 suits and 45 shirts, so dont need any clothes.

I don't buy things that I don't have money for, therefore this little "problem" hasn't really affected me. I don't have a credit card and I never plan to get one.

Living.

Every second Tuesday I die and go to heaven for a couple of days.

But, I'm usually back before the weekend.

Have an Acre of veg planted. Been doing tree felling and cutting for free, so built up allot of timber. Just built a supper insulated house with a wood burning stove which heats the entire house. I have cut back on meaningless consumer shite that was a waste of money anyway.
We cull allot of rabbits at this time of year to protect crops and I have had bunny stew abit more lately. Used to not bother with them as the skinning and gutting hardly justified the amount of meat. My lodger has 5 lobster creels in the bay which we lift lobster and crab from. We fish of the canoes too and last night we caught and BBQ a pile of mackerel.
I have started taking lessons to sheet read drums so I am more employable as a drummer, as the construction industry is up the left. I made more money drumming last month than I did drawing houses.

As an experiment I tried to live 2 weeks on £10 not including bills, mortgages etc. And I could.
All in all the credit crunch is a bitch but I am actually starting to enjoy adapting to it. In the long run it might not be a bad thing if it takes us all away from our shinny consumerable culture..

I spend almost nothing, in fact I've started spending more.
I actually took a holiday 6 months ago - only the second air ticket I've ever paid for myself.
A lifetime of poverty through work and investment recently paid off.
Buy quality and its generally cheaper in the long run.
