Alrighty, so im pretty handy with computers, and i have troubleshooted the hell out of my system yet there still seems to be a ghost in my machine, so im turning to the minds of BF2s.
Here's the skinny:
It all started with memory errors on my motherboard, these were evident by the failure to post and the C1 boot code on my motherboard LED. I RMAd the ram TWICE, and still had issues. I tested each stick w/ memtest individually and determined the issue was w/ my board. So i RMA'd the board. After reinstalling everything seemed to be ok. But i have had numerous issues with the Operating System (Vista x64). At first none of the updates would install. I would get a stop error stating the Windows Installer Module quit working. I did once get them to install but upon reboot i would get a BSOD and it would just keep looping from post to the BSOD.. I cannot read the BSOD screen as it flashes quickly then goes back through the boot process. I cannot access safe mode or start normally. The only option i had was a system restore. After this I went through each update and installed all of them one by one in order by release date. I have installed all the Updates for X64 based systems but some .net framework and security updates remain. I still get the installer module quit working message, among other services... also the BSOD occurs randomly with the same MO, the BSOD comes up quick without me being able to read it.. then it will reboot. Unlike before it wont get caught in a loop but will successfully reboot. Im just sick of the instability and cannot pinpoint the issue.. any input or tips would be much appreciated. See sig for specs. Thanks BF2s.
