I was thinking about cloning and stuff and I was wondering, wouldnt it be possible to ressurect an extinct species (in this case dinosaurs) through cloning? I was thinking all we would need is the DNA and scientists with the know how on how to clone organisms.

I think I read something somewhere that said the DNA from dinosaurs would be deteriorated to much for accurate and successful cloning.
Also, think about how excited everyone gets when we clone a dog or a sheep. The scientists are shitting themselves with glee. If we cloned a dinosaur the Earth itself would shit Argentina into space out of sheer amazement.
Think of Serge. Say no to cloning.

No, there is no dinosaur DNA to be had.Roc18 wrote:

Per the above article:
Ancestral DNA is not dinosaur DNA.He says: ‘Of course we can bring them back to life. Their ancestral DNA is still present.
But, that doesn't prevent the reconstruction of an organism that is similar to what we'd expect a dinosaur to be like. I would say, one day, it would be possible to engineer a new organism that is basically a living dinosaur look-a-like. But, not a clone. And, certainly not a replica in behavior as that is lost to history along with the DNA.

Pffft dinosaurs. I want a clone of Charlize Theron.
some prehistoric organisms reside in polar ice caps. wonder if we have immunities to these bacteria? hope so.
what would carry it? an large, adult, warm-blooded reptile would be needed to carry the eggs before laying them, and such animals no longer exist.
I was going to say crocodiles and alligators, then I /facedesk'd at my stupidity.S.Lythberg wrote:

maybe "Global Climate Change" will melt the Ice caps and we will all die from preHistoric Bacteria lol
they're dead tbh...Schittloaf wrote:

Clicked the thread, as it loaded I thought to myself, jurassic park much? And sure enough that came up +1FatherTed wrote:

Remember to complete the DNA code with frogs, oh shi-
also make sure the Velociraptors have no fingers, then they can't open our doors.

But I still think that there is still a possiblility that Dinosaur DNA exists somewhere in the world for someone to find.topal63 wrote:

They died (most likely) in a meteor crash - and honestly, I give f*** if THEY would survive another one!cyborg_ninja-117 wrote:
There are small dino's... Cloning big ones is a dumb idea, they died for a reason.S.Lythberg wrote:
