Why the hell is it that Milk has 2 expiration dates, One that says (for example) Aug 6th, then in smaller print 'In NYC Aug 3rd' What the hell? Why does milk expire 3 days earlier in new york city? When the diary is located 60 miles north of the city(I know i checked) Should not the milk expire at the same time? Or atleast one day later? Honestly I dont fucking get it.(Incase you're wondering i had to pour down an entire gallon because it expired today on the 29th when it said Aug 3rd in big print)
milk is good a couple of days after expiration.
Sell By and Expiration are different things.

Why pour it down the drain? It's cheese now. Just go ahead and eat it. Trust me it's all good.

Maybe it means it got to NYC on July 26, and expires on Aug. whatever.
Maybe it was something else you ate?David.P wrote:

You've had cheese and yogurt before. This would have been no different.

New York City is the only place in the state and one of relatively few in the country that has its own dating system for fluid milk, which may legally be sold only up to 96 hours after 6 A.M. on the day after pasteurization. The rule is the same for whole, skim or low-fat fortified milk.

The setting of expiration dates is probably regulated by the state governments and NY uses a different rating or test that is a little more conservative...
