I think a two handed joystick is a little too much, sometimes when getting a jet you want a quick take off (To avoid being raped in the hanger/M95'd out or whatever else can be thrown your way) and pulling down two controls to take off sounds time consuming, that being said I suppose you've found a way to make this quick?

Perhaps for a flight sim, but BF2? Meh, I think it's a little too much for flying.

If it works for you however, GL.

The Force 2.4 or w/e its called by Logitech, its similar to the 3D pro but has higher standard components and will last longer

Left hand is throttle, move forward for more back for less. put in middle for no throttle. It takes off just as fast as mouse and keyboard. Its a really fun experience I must say _{(yes HAWX will be just as much fun)}

That was my first joystick. It was great while it lasted, ubut after it starts pulling to the side its fubar _{English translation: Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition} You  cant recalibrate, no matter what you try... its broke, have to buy a new one.
