Needs more fan.
I need around tree fiddy.
Well then you wouldn't get so many points per day. Its hard already to implement 8 GFX cards into a system and you are saying they should implement even more cheaper cards.Acreta wrote:
see, WHY is that nessecary
it would be smarter to buy just a ton of cheaper cards, like 6 series or something and make them F@H
although you'd need a good mobo
First of all, only the 8 series is CUDA enabled, second, a 9800GX2 has many times the processing power of even a 7900GTX when it comes to CUDA applications. I don't mean twice, trice, or five times the power. We're talking 20-30 times the power. The GX2 is _THE_ most powerful GPGPU in the world.Acreta wrote:

I'm only stating the facts. Saying "STFU NOOB" isn't exactly a quality post, either.Richard2000 wrote:

Agreed, but... is Richard2000 = Nitro92? His avatar, website, and low quality posts make me wonder.Freezer7Pro wrote:

That your posting style (Tons of question/exclamation marks, no grammar, all caps) is annoying. It makes your posts look so... Aggressive.Richard2000 wrote:

University of Antwerp had 4 GX2s. Working with CUDA.heggs wrote:
I'd be willing to bet this has something to do with making a very budget friendly supercomputer using nVidia's CUDA technology. Something similar was done at a different university. I can't remember the exact name of the other university, but this is not the first time this has been done. They were using it to reconstruct medical imaging of scans of the human body (if I remember correctly).
In any event, they aren't using the cards to game, or for any sort of crazy graphics performance. Rather, they're using these gpu's as a way to get a tremendous amount of parallel processing power.
Edit: Also, if anyone has any doubts.
From Wiki: "CUDA works with all NVIDIA GPUs from the G8X series onwards, including GeForce, Quadro and the Tesla line,"
