Force3D released new Radeon HD 4850 and Radeon HD 4870 graphics cards with the Accelero Twin Turbo Black Edition cooling fan. The firm says this cooler will drop the temperature of the Radeon HD 4800 series cards by 26°C at a 0.6 Sone noise level - compared to 1.3 Sone of noise generated from the stock cooler.

By 26°C! If the price jump is minimal then its well worth it. Looks great too!

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

If this card will cost the same as the one with a standard cooler then it will be a good valued card.

So you think it wont happen? There were GFX cards with zalman coolers with same price as the ones with a standard cooler. And those were the low/mid end ones.

So you think it wont happen? There were GFX cards with zalman coolers with same price as the ones with a standard cooler. And those were the low/mid end ones.

They were always less famous brands though - which makes sense, since I don't really know Force3D that well.

I'm looking forward to the T-Rad² Cooler as well...
