I believe in cause and effect. Its the non gay version of karma.

I prefer the idea of fart fate.
The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.
Of course bad things are gonna happen to you when you do bad things. You rob a store. You're gonna go to jail. But in return it works like this. You help an old lady cross the street while walking to your car. 30 min later your being cut out of your car by the jaws of life because of a fucking drunk. Things happen because they can. Nothing is guarentee'd.
In Life, no.
In death.. maybe.
Im not religeous, nor have any particular faith. I don't know if I even believe in a "god".
But I can't prove there isn't. So, to play on the safe side, maybe it's best to be a decent person. Cause I have a feeling that after death, there just may be.... something... and who you are/were as a person may have its consequences.

That's no reason to be a decent person. Suppose there are consequences for your actions after death, what's the criteria for living your life properly? You're probably living your life assuming that you'll be judged on the generic, modern Christian morals. This also assumes the one judging you is benevolent. People may have it all wrong, it could be some evil tribunal of demons that damns you for not being greedy or sadistic enough. It may be a wahhabist's Allah damning you for not stoning infidels. It could be a goddess punishing you for not submitting your will to you female overlords.RoosterCantrell wrote:

Considering that no one has the faintest idea of what happens after death (if anything), I find it strange that so many people are so maniacally convinced that they're right. I'm not talking about you, Rooster.
Personally, I don't believe there's anything. Once we're gone, we're gone. To me, that's a much better reason to be a good person. We only have one shot here and if we want to enjoy ourselves or make it worthwhile, we all need to be cool. Like six billion little Fonzies. Otherwise, people would run around murdering, maiming, raping and stealing so much there wouldn't be anyone left.
I think I believe in irony more than karma. Such as the child molester who gets raped in jail or the murderer who gets hit by a bus.
