E7300 Launches in 10 Days, 10x multi, 2.66Ghz, $133

We have talked about Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 before and we have told you that this CPU comes in Q3 2008. Now we have a date for you, as Intel plans to start selling these on August 10th.

This is 45nm-based Core 2 Duo chip with 2.66GHz frequency 1066FSB support and 3MB cache. This is basically a faster version of the recently launched E7200 with 2.53GHz frequency 1066FSB support and 3MB cache.

The E7300 will be selling for $133 at launch, while E7200 will drop to $113 on the same date. Wolfdale and 45nm dual cores are simply getting cheaper by the day and every end user has to love this.

Oooh, nice, E7300. If it's shipped with the rumoured new stepping, I might sell off my 7200 for one.

But, Sup, may I ask why you posted a driver update for a bunch of motherboards that nobody has? That's not what I would call news-worthy.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Yes, you could get a 2 million percent performance upgrade if only you knew what chipset you had...

Gigabyte has a long tradition of having chipset name in the actual mobo name.
