I have had Vista since the start, and once I got my new computer ( which was last year in June ) I have not had 1 single problem that was directly connected to the operating system ( yes, I have had to format several times because of buggy sofware, but not because of Vista ).

I had to get a new computer BECAUSE of XP fucking up my files. Funny that.

I'm on Server08, and I have to say, it's great. (see what I did there?) Only complain would really be that it performs far worse in benchmarks than XP did. In games, I can't say that there's a noticeable difference.

Strange. I thought Server08 would be faster in benches and slower at games.

You had to format because of buggy software? So, is that like the host of software that wouldn't work when Vista came out and changed shit unnecessarily or is this just that buggy software one comes across and has to reformat their computer after?

Yes. Buggy software ( maybe "illegal" ). No viruses or the sort, but I installed so much crap that it slowed my whole PC down, adding to the fact that my wireless network failed, I decided to reformat and wire the house. Now I have a maximum of 30 programs installed at once and they are nowhere near the core files of Vista and I defrag nearly every day. My PC is in great health! ( touches wood ).

Only real problem I have ever had with Vista has been networking and sound drivers from Realtek. Realtek fails real bad and just can't make a decent driver for Vista, so I binned them.
