userinit won't start properly?

Ok, so I use a macbook pro with bootcamp installed to play games on windows.
Some hours ago I installed PR and then restarted to boot into MAC OSX.
Then just 30 mins ago I rebooted to windows and an error came up.
USERINIT cannot be opened properly or something.
I've tried to substitude my old USERINIT with a fresh and it didn't work.
I rebooted in safe mode and still the same message appears.
I googled the message but the forums didn't give me a proper answer or didn't explain how to fix it.

So any help?

you've tried typing "userinit" or "userinit.exe" in run?

i can't even access in it in the safemod, so no idea how to do it.

Do a repair of Windows XP with your CD is the last thing I can think of.

Doing a disk check won't hurt either if you don't want to do a repair. Repair *shouldn't* delete any of your files, but backup in case. Backing up doesn't hurt anyways, does it?

No, repair shouldn't delete any of your files. Don't know if that will fix it though; it's always no harm to try.

I rebooted again and it works!!!!

That's what people usually say too when the computer stops working

Glad it's fixed, try to watch out for new strange things happening, may be the start of a failing OS/hardware
