I dunno, I've seen similar systems with Q6600's priced at around $1000 here.

Why would it be a trap? That system isn't that great, so $1000 is kinda overpriced if you ask me.

Also, it has no OS, so I would say it is definately overpriced.

Vid card: ~$190.00
Mobo: cheap
HDD: cheap, only 16mb cache too
Mem: very cheap brand
OS: no, you would have to get x64 to utilize the 8gb of mem too.

Save the money and build your own, you can get 10x better specs for the same price.

Building yourself is way better because:

- It's cheaper
- There's no chance at getting ripped off
- you'll learn something about computers which you can use to help family/friends out later on.
