K, firstly could of cried when i realised that nice old nvidia card created a card of greater power than mine (9800GTX) for about half the price... Then i read up on the GTX+ and apparently its EXACTLY THE SAME BUT FASTER?!?!?!?! aaaahhhh waste of $150.

Anyway rant over, does anyone know wether i could run a GTX+ in SLi with my GTX? seeing as they're virtually the same?

You can't. They're very far from the same, as the + is both die-shrinked and higher clocked, I even think it uses a different clock generator.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

You sure?  I cant really see why, there isnt much in the way of technically differences other than that die shrink.  Am sure I read it was possible :\

You would have to underclock the GTX+ (well that would happen automatically), or overclock the GTX but I would of thought it be alright.

Hmm tough one, it should be tested but it sounds possible. The chip is smaller on the + but the rest of the design is the same so it might work.

well, if it means anything just installed the july 29 drivers for my 9800GTX and now windows detects it as a 9800GTX/GTX+ which sort of shows they are the same really
