Wow I didnt know they were adding halfpipe skiing, now the winter olympics will be awesome!ghettoperson wrote:
Everything in the summer Olympics, except for the BMX racing is incredibly boring to watch. Winter Olympics is where it's at, and it's awesomeness rating will skyrocket when they add halfpipe skiing.
I'm not sure it's actually added yet, but I know there's a lot of people working right now to get it in for 2010. Halfpipe snowboarding was only added 18 months before the Winter games so it could still happen.specops10-4 wrote:

I really hope they add it cause skiing half pipe is much more interesting to watch than snowboarding. I hope that they dont go overboard though and make them like the x-games.ghettoperson wrote:

Marathons/walking/road racing doesn't really count, they're not the kind of sports you watch, they're the kind of sports you "check in" on.
In my opinion, Dressage. It's just a horse trotting around for a while. Boring as buggery. More so in fact.

They're all equally boring.
Walking and then swimming. Seriously why do people like swimming, I always lol when I see people walking along the side faster than the swimmers.
Women's 10m air pistol.
Anyone with low possibilities of an athlete harming themselves or others.
I'd say...
Every single one.
Every single one.

Granted, the majority of them are extremely dull, but the table tennis is . The pace those games move at and the insane spin (nobody mention meat) they can impart on the ball. That shit is exciting to watch. Assuming the director isn't a spacktard...
Equestrian.
You know it is.

My state was founded by Batman. Your opinion is invalid.
dear god i was watching it trying to figure out what the hell a quarter full swing trot serpentine gait is, and how you accumulate 48.00 in penalties doing it. its the kind of sport where even if you know whats going on, its still boring.some_random_panda wrote:

My Iowa genes are telling you to stfu Wrestling is teh greatest sport ever, but that opinion of mine is very bias since I'm from Iowa and we have Dan Gable http://espn.go.com/classic/biography/s/Gable_Dan.html, btw don't take offense its just those dam genes.MGS3_GrayFox wrote:

Equestrienne (sp?) That is pretty damn boring.
Exactly, I was watching it today and thought wtf, do people pay to watch this stuff?motherdear wrote:
most boring have to be the horse riding (not the jumps etc. but the walking and showing off competition (it's basicly a beefed up dog show))
Gymnastics. Only paedophiles watch it....
a good race is never boring. not if you understand whats going on.Ty wrote:

I think that's probably the main, uhh, issue (for lack of a better term) with the Olympics. Many of the sports aren't entertaining to watch unless you've done them yourself and know what's going on and know how amazing these athletes are.Ender2309 wrote:

e.g., I really want to watch Taekwondo because I did it for a long time and I think the sparring will be awesome. But to someone who's never done it, it'll look like a bunch of feet shuffling with an occasional kick (like how watching fencing was for me).
Same for swimming. I used to be on a swim team when I was younger, so when I watch those people in Beijing swim, I think it's amazing how fast they are and what perfect technique they have.
the main one that's always bugged me is curling in the winter olympics
unaccaptable

that stick with the long string on the end, you know when they twirl it and shit. Blah. It reminds me of Will Ferrel in Old School.
Malloy must go
