£260 to replace £500+ worth of card for a minimal performance increase? If I invested in GTX280 SLI I bet Nvidia would release an entirely better card in < 3 months... far too much money for no good reason. 8800GTX SLI still powers every game at high-resolution with all the max settings and plenty of AA, so what's the necessity? .

I've just got the minimum requirements, my processor is right on the line, (3.2GHz Pentium 4.) My graphics card is slightly better, (7600GS,) and I have 2GB RAM. Still, Far Cry 2 is meant to be pretty, if I can't get top graphics I'm not sure I'll bother until I get a new PC.
I managed the Crysis demo on low settings, didn't buy the game in the end though.

I'm thinking I should start the "Help Ty buy a new PC" fund again. Any willing contributers?

I think starting a "Help Ty get off his ass and get a job/a better job" fund would be much easier.
