EVE looks epic in screenshots but the same default 2D backdrops and space-station models get pretty boring after a while. The vast nothingness is full of a whole lot of... well, nothing .
its pretty cheap for a MMO tbh.haffeysucks wrote:
I would try EVE Online but the fees turn me off. Way off.
That's $24 a month!FatherTed wrote:

£12 a month on the plan im on
It's different for americans we only play 15 bucks a month. So the numbers stay the same but the currency changes.haffeysucks wrote:

It's my junior year of HS (3rd year), and by far the most important, so I really don't want an MMO distracting me. Unlike some people, I want to go to a good college (uni for the brits).
That sucks, the Brits always seem to get higher prices no matter what it is.Liberal-Sl@yer wrote:

What popular mainstream MMO's cost more than £12.00?
EVE is one of the most expensive MMO's out there- even Funcom's Age of Conan charged less per month and that company was losing money on the product. Absolutely hilarious.
tbh i don't give a fuck.Uzique wrote:
No, I've played and paid happily for many years for all of the top MMO's... I'm just saying you claiming it is "pretty cheap for an MMO" couldn't be farther from the truth.
And have you played any other MMORPG game? EVE is the least 'intense' online game I have ever played- "tactical jiggery-pokery"- you mean right clicking on a blank area of space and warping to some random unimportant and bland-generic star system to escape getting killed? Or perhaps just clicking another one of your ship's equipped weapons and attacking from a different range? Sorry if MMO experience equals "bias" then I'm the worst culprit... but EVE's strengths and goodpoints lie in its economy and community- definitely not in its 'action' and combat.
of course you favor the space-phallus.SamTheMan:D wrote:

Why spend $24 a month on a game, when you could get a game like Sins for $40 and have it for the rest of your life?FatherTed wrote:
