Any idea why the 4870X2 rapes the GTX280 in everything (even the 4870 beats it in some categories), except for Crysis?
Crysis is an nVidia biased game - nVidia cards almost always score better than ATi cards in Crysis benchiesJenspm wrote:

"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
X2 has 2 GPUs. And some games work best with nvidia/ati cards. If Crysis is an OpenGL game that would explain why Nvidia is better at Crysis.Jenspm wrote:

It is not OpenGL game..Sup wrote:

damnit... CrossfireX would be a no go with my 750W PSU... But who the hell would need that anyway (I play at 1280x1024) hehe

so nvidea is the victim of double rape by ATI.Sup wrote:
And lets not forget the price. It rapes in that segment too.haffeysucks wrote:

CUDA was not released back when Crysis came out. It's just some high-tech achitecture preferences, like SPi prefers intel over AMD.Scorpion0x17 wrote:

True, true. Though I'm sure CUDA was around well before it was on general release. Though of course, the Crysis nVidia preference is pretty much across the board, if I'm not mistaken, so that would suggest it's not CUDA per se. But, yeah, the reason is almost certainly down to the fact that Crysis is a 'made for nVidia' game (i.e. they had nVidia engineers help them optimise it to run best on nVidia hardware).DeathUnlimited wrote:
