Why is everyone being so smug? (I know this isnt DST) Just because this opinionated article in a well known Soviet mouthpiece during the Cold War blurts out an opinion different from one dictated to you by CNN/FOX/MSNBC etc. doesn't mean that it should be laughed at. It may be the version closer to the truth at best, or the views of the vast majority of Russian citizens at worst. It is quite obvious that Georgia is being played to underdog victim here, when in fact they provoked the whole fiasco, and there is no clear intention that Russia wants to take the whole country apart from S.Ossetia and Abhkazia, because doing so would put them clearly in the political wrong and make them lost any credibility they have atm.
