As always with a new high demanding product there are false reviews.

Awesome. These and the 4850 X2s are gonna bring down the prices on both sides even further. Might even get a 4850, or even 70, myself.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Is the 4850x2 model going to have 1gb of ram?

Probably gonna range from 1 to maybe even 4GB.

There are GeForce 7300s with 512MB. Manufacturers work on the "zomg-much-RAM" strategy.

I thought they were 2 gig (1+1cards) not 512meg (256+256) why would they put less ram then any other 2 gpu card?

I believe he's mistaking the memory interface (256 bit for each card) with the actual amount of memory on the chip.

I know, it could happen with anything, any brand, with any e-tailer, and through any shipper.
