We need a new 1337357 forum.

I propose a Second exclusive D&ST forum be made for MEMBERS ONLY in which the people in that forum get to hand pick people out of this forum to get permissions to post in the 1337357 forum.

This way the Mods don't control the membership, but can still enforce TOS. I feel that this would eliminate people who can't follow a logical thought and just post stupid shit. The members themselve would have to vote on new members and people in this forum could see what a real debate should look like, but just couldn't post in the second one.

What say you, I am sure that they IT nerds here could assign privleges to our accounts on where we can/can't post.

This could be a great social experiment. A hand full of Elitests with an idea on what the forum should be controls admittance. The more people admitted, the more that ideal is weakend because all new members get to vote.

It could be like watching the US go to shit all over again but on a micro scale.

OK, the way I see it is the forum members could hold elections every 3 months to elect 5 people to be nominators and 1 president of the forum.

the 5 nominators pick up to 5 nominees to be added each month. each nominee get an UP or Down vote on the forum, the list of nominees that had a majority vote for them goes to the president who can either pass all of them or veto all of them. If veto'd the president can be over-rode with a 2/3rd revote on the list of people the president Veto'd.

It could work, we need this. We are living in a dictatorship on this forum now. Rage against the Machine People.

I agree, and therefore would vote for people based not on whether they told people off, but whether they could present a logical argument to back things they spout. And also if they could learn and admit they are wrong when they know it.

What DST should be, is it should start off with good reasonable debate (and serious talk).....then it should slowly turn into mindless name calling after awhile. It shouldn't just start off instantly with the name calling. No, that's not how it's supposed to be.
