i know i need this but where will the sound come from? what do i need to hook up my computer's speakers?

That package in the link looks like it has a video hook up, and a red and white cable, which must be the sound cables.

Either plug it into your sound-card directly or basically into the main source of your audio (e.g. all my wires on the 5.1 system hook into the back of the sub-woofer).
The only problem with those cables (I have one and use one also) is that the 'split' between HDMI/DVI and the audio-cables is pathetically short, so you'd better hope your monitor and sound-card/speakers are close together

Menzo's got the right idea. You (OP) said earlier you wanted to hook it up to your computer, but don't do that. Take it directly from that cable (which, when shopping you may need to call it something, is a stereo female RCA to female 3.5mm/headphone jack adapter) to the 3.5mm jack that you use to connect your speakers to your computer.menzo2003 wrote:

Another way you can do it is get the same cable except with a male 3.5mm jack and hook it to your line in on your soundcard. That way you don't have to shut off your computer or switch around cables when you want to use the console.
Yet another way is, if your speakers have a extra line-in or multiple inputs would be to use whatever cable you would need to hook them up that way.
Personally I would do it the first way, I wouldn't want to have to have the computer running to play the console. However, the third way would be ideal if possible. No cable switching and it's PC independent.

Rofl. It's not that you use, that would be a female one, you need 2 male ones to jack into a sound card.

If you got the first pic the guy sent (with the 3.5mm female) you could plug into headphones.
Or if your speakers have an aux setup (like mine, people can plug in their ipods and play it over my speakers without cutting out the audio from my computer) [Z5500 ftw.] use the Male 3.5mm to plug into something like that and your good to go.
