Win XP 32 - SP3, all updates installed

I am not using the little program my ISP gave me but connect directly from windows.
When the Windows desktop comes up I can start any program but the Network Connection Internet Dial Thingy. This one will only open after a minute or so.

Yes, it is rather anoying than an important error but still...

sry??

Well, my "problem" is software related - I just would like to not have to wait that extra minute to start the connection.

Well, what kind of connection is it? 3G? dial-up? ADSL? FIOS?

If it's ADSL or FIOS, just go and buy yourself a modem and an ethernet cable to be online 24/7.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Here is something new and exciting, I am actually going to answer your question that you asked, instead of flaming you for having a shitty modem.  OK Here goes!!!:

Restart computer

Go to start>run>services.msc

See what is running. If there are any that are set to Manual but are Started, set them to Automatic. If there are any that are set to Automatic (Delayed Start) set them to Automatic.

See if that helps.
