Seriously though, most men at Mt Isa are miners and earn BIG bucks. They could buy pretty much any girl they want.

Mt. Isa is still a shithole, no matter how much they earn. Having been there and knowing somebody who lives there, it is not worth it. Under any circumstances. Visiting, living... Shit avoid driving through the place if you can.

It's called fly in-fly out and it's a great way to avoid shitholes like Isa. I live most of the year in a similar, though smaller, by the sea and absolutely awesome hunting, fishing, scenery and such, shithole... Has more chicks though and a far higher transient population among the men. So the imbalance is next to nothing. Thankfully.
