I got mine when it came out for the normal price. Think it was about £30 for Subsistance.
I got my MGS3 for like £30 too, normal one when it first came out. Awesome game, just as good as MGS4 imo. The bosses were probably better. And the graphics were just about as good as the PS2'll do.

I dont get how the game is so damn rare though! I got an urge to play it n it took me 4 days to find a single pre-owned copy, got it for £20 tho.

It's a shame they shut down the online servers so quickly, too
I sort of liked online, hadn't had much time to get used to it, and was busy playing other games. But then 4 or 5 months later I come back to it to give it another shot and it's gone. iQue ridiculo!
