We've had three dogs that have had tumors. One of my dogs now has one that's benign. Another one years ago had a benign tumor. We also had one who had a malignant tumor that was cancerous, but he lived for years after that was found. Your dog should be fine.

yeah my cat has kinda reached the stage where she might need to be put down, shes 12 and eyes are glazing over, doesn't like going outside, pisses everywhere.

Don't worry about it at all. A dog of mine had over 20 cancerous tumors when she was around 10, they were all easily removed, and the dog lived to be 16. (It was a poodle)
