He's getting home schooled.

RTFA and realize that doesn't equate to dropping out.  He was pulled out and put into a different education system.

Okay, so I've heard of people dropping out of school to play the guitar. Some really exceptional artists have done this. Dropping out to play Guitar Hero is just... dumb. How can anyone possibly justify it? You're not playing original songs, Hell you're not even playing an instrument. It's a glorified "Simon Says" game set to music.

Idiocy.
in guitar hero 4 you can make your own songs

I was at first inclined to disparage the decision by his parents to let Peebles drop out of school, but it seems a little less ridiculous when you delve into the facts. Peebles hahdn't been doing well in school and wasn't liked, and even now he isn't gaming full time. He has a tutor that provides a private education, and his parents say he's doing well with the more focused instruction and that their son now even does his homework without complaint
If it helps him get along in his education, why not?

looks to me like his parents care more about him than most, they took something he had a passion for and used it to help him turn his education around.
Well imo, what Jamesey said is correct, everything he said is right in my mind. Can't really say any more.

Blake Peebles doesn't seem like an outcast to me...just a lazy fuck, with idiots for parents. Have fun working at McDonnalds for the rest of your life.

People stop going school as soon as they can here because they don't have to. So dropping out with a reason, even was as lame as this isn't really that bad...

Technically, he's still being educated, and seems to be doing better with a tutor. Most parents would stick the sap in school, but they opted for private learning in the comfort of his home. I say, go for it. And even if Guitar Hero doesn't earn him a living, he has a solid education to fall back on.

I'm sure he's going to get far in life with a hand written diploma.

Holy shit he's got a picture of Eminem for his default. All doubt of him being a total retard has been removed.

American schools last for too long anyway. My mate went to America and we all took the piss because he had to do 2 more years than all of us.

Up to year 6 in Primary school.

Up to year 11 in Secondary school.

However you can legally leave school as soon as you turn 16, which is in year 11.

We can legally drop out at age 16 too, but you'll be slinging greaseburgers at Mickey D's the rest of your life. Ryan forgot to mention that we have a year of kindergarten before those 12 years of public school.
