Well, nearly.  With the usual restricitons, however.  And before anyone asks, YES, I am profoundly embarrased every time I see a happy-go-lucky redneck piece where the 'good ol' boy' has a shotgun in one hand and a beer in the other.  They exist, but I am most thankful that they are in the extreme minority.

I think the silliest thing about this is that any town that's so small they have a 30 minute police response time most likely has a super tiny school. In a small school like that, the threat of a shooting rampage has to be damn close to zero. Plus, here in Texas, the parking lot of a small high school like that is going to filled with pickup trucks with rifle racks in the rear window. Although, I've noticed they don't like to put windows in the classrooms here.

Well, you were in Killeen, hardly the most representative portion of the state.  I buy mine at GTs Distributors, in Austin.  Of course, Austin is also not very representative, since it is the liberal bastion in a conservative state.

el paso is a bad example to put in with those others

No one city can "represent" a state, especially not one so freakin big as Texas. Different geographic and political regions have different tendencies.

How about a Metalstorm system hooked to a speed control radar?

Still gotta be able to stop traffic.  And we can't afford pilots as crossing guards.
