8800gts (512mb) a wise buy?

So, I've kinda come to the conclusion that it's my gfx that has caused my computer problem.

So, would a Asus EN8800GTS 512mb be a wise buy? My old card was a eVga 8800GT superclocked.

If you're looking for pure gaming performance, get a 4850/4870. If you want cuda, get a 8800 or a 9800

I would not go and buy a new one without testing the old card at some other computer.

Otherwise, a fine card that 8800GTS is.

get the 4850, its only about £10-£20 more and is supposed to be 30-40% better in games i read

if you want a 8800gt, i have the zotac 8800gt which has a slight manufactures overclock (660mhz)
