I am trying to help someone PERMANENTLY delete files off the computer. I know on a Windows base PC you can reformat and that will do the trick. But I'm working with a Mac G3. So if you have any suggestions or know what to do please help! I appreciate it.

Google it? There aren't many Mac users here, as majority of us are gamers, therefore we have a more Windows-based community. There are a few Mac Forums on the Internet, I'd suggest finding one of those, and asking there.
