Ok, i have searched the forums but i have found nothing on this... how do you run a Mod?... I just downloaded them from the new files.bf2s.com... and i would like to play them... can someone give me a "How to run a Mod for dummies" guide, thanks.
1.install it(if its a folder, drag it into my Documents>BF2>Mods)
2.Start BF2, click on community and then click on (mods?) I think..I forget the actual name, but its in the community tab there....

Go to c:/program files/ea games/battlefield 2/mods/ and put the mod in there if it's in a folder, if not put all the contents in a folder. Now open Notepad and type this: Replace "FOLDERNAME" with the name of the mod folder. Save this file as "whatever.BAT" Just click this file to start it and it will load the mod.
NOTE: Replace "cd /d "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2"" with the approriote path if that's not correct.
Code:
@echo off cd /d "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2" start BF2.exe +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +modPath mods/FOLDERNAME
NOTE: Replace "cd /d "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2"" with the approriote path if that's not correct.
Thx all
Okay now.. i made that batch file and the game opens the mod i assume that is what it is opening, but when i go to multi-player or single-player it just closes to desktop... help please.
I gave up, no one would help me.... I suggest the same for you Jenspm
what mod are you guys talking about?? ive downloaded and played nearly every bf2 mod to date, and all of them create a desktop shortcut once they have been installed. to install, all i have to do is download the .exe file and then run it.
OK. Download and Install. Go to C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods. There, Click on the Folder with your Mod In It. There Should Be A File With a Picture of a Cogwheel Thing On It. If it Doesn't Work, Check the Notepad of the File. That Should Get It Going.
If That Doesn't work, then Read the Read me of the Mod. Maybe you Need to Do Something.
