Help with Verticle Takeoff on VTOL.

How do you do it? I'm not sure, i read alot of the guides on this site and I can't find a description. Also, i need an answer for keyboards, as I can't afford a joystick ATM. I'm just so tired of taking off from the essex normally and get TK's because they were too stupid to back off when they didn't get the jet.

i'm not a fool. I already searched that. I wouldn't have posted a topic if I had searched and found something. The only relavent one was the guide, which i already read, and the stupid rocket VTO which i don't want to do. I just want to know how to rotate the engine so it does the HORIZONTAL VTO.

ok, friluftshund, you dont have to flame the guy just becuase he doesnt know how to do VTOL...
elamdri all you have to do is hold 's' until you start going up. then when you get maybe 50, 100 ft up, hold 'w' and pull back on your mouse, as you dont want to fall into the ocean because you arent going fast enough. from there on, its all gravy.

Yeah - sorry about my saying you'r either drunk or blind..

But is has some merit since the incredibly irritating guy in-game says (the first time you get into the plane) "press and hold the S key to take off..."

right after i take off holding the s key i hit e then 9 and it seems as though i am rocketed forward its quite cool.

You definitely need a joystick. Flying with mouse/keyboard is a poor control method and won't help your piloting skills. Dogfighting other jets when they are using a joystick, owned.
Keyboard and mouse is best for helicopter piloting IMO. More stable flight than using a joystick.
And yes, just hold down S and stablize like your flying a heli. Get a little height then hold down W, point nose up slightly and use afterburners aswell to get into normal jet flight. Now get back to the fight!

Problem with the joystick thing is that college gets rather expensive. I literally know a guy who sells blood every few months to pay for a WOW account, and I will not sink that low to afford crap for games. I do ok with the keyboard, i can hold out till a birthday for a joystick.
