Thanks to everyone that helped me with suggestions on what to get for a new PC. I am now looking at getting a new monitor. Any suggestions? I currently have an Acer 19" LCD. I was thinking of going to 22" or 24", but I don't exactly what I should be looking for as far as specs go on on a new monitor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I would like to stay under $300 if possible.

I dunno. It's about £300 usually.

Graphic artist or not, colours are by far the most important thing for an LCD, primarily because that is their weakest point so you need to get something good to compensate. All these cheap TN panels aren't worth having in my opinion.

If he was a graphic artist I'd probably be suggesting something from Eizo....
