I was drunk off my ass last night and put a password on my computer, of course, I have no clue what it is. Im running Windows Vista 64 bit, and have only one account of my computer, the administrator of course. So Im wondering if there is anyway to get onto my computer with out reinstalling the OS.
i believe you need to reinstall, but the files can be accessed and copied to another drive though external programs i believe.
are you the one who covered his cpu in thermal paste?

We knew that already.
Anyway, in Vista I'm not so sure, but I know XP has the administrator account that gets set up in the install, does Vista have anything similar?

You have to change your boot priority to boot from optical drive first. Either that or spam F8 at the mobo boot screen.Commie Killer wrote:

There was a thread pretty recently about how to manually create another admin account.... I don't remember what it was called or where it is...
I think this solves your problem

Don't lie fool, you just want to get into your sisters new laptop she passworded.
He wasn't drunk when he did that, though.FatherTed wrote:

You could just say "I used a computer" and we would know that there is a problem.
I'm sure you can boot up in safe mode and then go to the user account part and disable your password that way.
Yet another thing to clarify in my sig...
I just bought another HD instead, 160GB was too small anyways.
Because, as we all know, networks do not exist..Sup wrote:
