Ok. My apologies for my first post having been in the wrong forum I assume?
I've been a long time player of America's Army.. I have two servers through [url=http://www.clanservers.com/?ref=1591981]<this company>[/url] and I'm very satisfied. They just made BF2 ranked servers available and I'm getting a 64 slot. I guess I may rush into things, but, I figure what the heck.. I like to dive right into something head first whenever possible.. lifes more fun that way. :p Anyway, I have A LOT of reading and catching up to do to say the least.
I just wanted to post an introduction and what not.. but I do have just a few questions.
This BF2CC Daemon thing? What is this? Just a control panel/console? (Im guessing that is what the CC stands for).. For ranked servers it seems FTP is unavailable and you can only use the BF2CC. Will I miss FTP abilities? BF2 works under PunkBuster right?
Anyway.. a lurker I am no longer... I figured only $190 for 64 slots.. yeah, I'm doin this.. will be so damn nice to break away from the 26 slots of AA.. I'll still play AA and will keep my servers, but still..
Just to get some ideas, since BF2 is installing on my gaming computer as I write this.. what is everyones favorite map? I assume its much like Americas Army with different maps and such.. how common is TKing for vehicles? (seems to be a specified/pointed out rule on server rules I've found doing google for BF2 forums).
I'll be back after its all installed and I have more questions (which Im sure I will have hopefully more knowledgeable questions at that time). I look forward to playing with/against you all.. hopefully I carry my AA 4.2 FR over to BF2, but I have a bad feeling that I wont for some reason lol..
