so i came across this site the other day, www.uni2go.co.uk , which basically sell you a big bundle of all the essential stuff you need in your room and in the kitchen when you go off to university. sounds like a pretty damn smart idea, too bad i didnt see it last year. all the people who got their A-lvl results might find it useful
In my mind going off to school = being pretty broke...tahadar wrote:

Rather then buying a generic pack, you can save a lot of money by buying everything individually... that way not only are you not buying things you don't need, but you can be cheap on things that are not important/not often used.
good find, checking it out
I'm pretty sure that list of stuff does not add up to £85.

They're really stretching on things that are "essential", aren't they?
Case in point:
6pc chef's knife set
Potato peeler
4 kinds of pans
ladle and untensil set
chopsticks
I'm pretty sure you don't need all of those, let alone some of the useless stuff in the non-kitchen section.
On the other hand, Uzique's list is quite handy of things you may actually need (I still lol-ed when they put condoms on the list, though)

6 piece knife set is far from necessary... Up until a roommate moved out and left some kitchen stuff behind I had one knife, worked fine.
None of those lists are all that accurate TBH though, didn't see a bong listed on a single one.

actually from personal experience, there are a LOT of chinese people in london universities so the chopsticks are, for some, pretty essentialDesertFox- wrote:

Take that list they have newly compiled and bugger off to Big W and spend a a fraction what those masters of daylight robbery are offering.
