I have one and never use it. I want to trade it for a DS as the games are more entertaining. I think that the PSP is a cool handheld but realisticaly, who actually brings it around and uses it to listen to music, the only useful thing I found was the movies. It's great for long car journeys but even then. I don't have the urge to spend the money that I rarely have on movies for my PSP.

I don't even use mine anymore...but when I did, for games. I had ATV Offroad Fury or something like that as well as Gretzky NHL and one other that I forgot.

Download some old games plus the emulators. You can have more fun using a psp that way.

Im looking around to buy one, I have a friend who I never see with it ever, and he has a wii so i dont think he plays it, hopefully i can get it cheap
well the people who carry it around for music only do it because they think it makes them look cool. movies are good. i have mine unlocked and i have an 8gb pro duo card along with every game known to man for PSP. all i have to do is drag and drop them to a folder on my psp and i can play the game.

well, mine is just for show n' tell. I rarely use it, actually, I haven't used it for over 2 years now.
I play Gta on it and watch movies. And it has a very good sound chip integrated.
I fuckin' love my PSP. I use it for movies and music and games. This summer I was taking a class at my university, while living at home, so I had a lot of commuting to do via train and bus. I'd always watch a movie, play some games, or listen to music on it. Best purchase I've ever made in a while. I love the thing. So perfect for me. (Also, one time I even connected to my school's wireless network and listened to the internet radio that's built-in)
And don't spend money on movies! Just download them from torrents, or convert them yourself (using PSP Video 9). Also, PSP Media Manager 2.5 is freeware... so long as you get it from a Japanese site (use Google). Besides, the Japanese version is in English anyway.
Once I get a new memory stick (currently have 1 GB, want either 4 GB or 8 GB) and an extra battery, I'm going to mod it and throw on some CFW. Say hello to SNES, NES, and GBA emulators
It's all a matter of taking advantage of its perks and technology. However, some people don't need to be able to play movies or listen to music or whatever, so the PSP isn't right for them. It's just personal preference and how you're going to use the thing. I don't have an mp3 player (have owned a walkman for the longest time) or a portable video player, so it's great for me. But if you don't need those extra perks, and don't like the game selection, then sell it and get a DS if you think you'll use it more.
