You're just being childish now, ruining all of your 'intellectual' integrity.

I've never said that China or Russia aren't corrupt. I've just been here providing the nagging reminder that none of the Western countries are examples of perfect states either. I've never said you made a mistake in your evaluation of Chinese policy or Russian aggression... I just made the reasonable request to keep it away from a discussion of the Olympics (i.e. over-politicisation of an unrelated event) and made the reasonable reminder that there's two sides of every story. Even Usmarine says that his reliable and impartial news sources are not placing any blame or culpability for the events of the conflict.

So to repeat something I very clearly put to you in another thread; "stfu" now until you're ready to make some intelligent posts again. Thanks!

What I'm suggesting now is for us to get the fuck out of Georgia.  Is that "intelligent" enough for you?

I see what you're saying, but you seem to put more effort into the "nag" part than the actual reminder part.

Whatever the case, I think Flaming might have been right after all.

Thought I'd use the example of a fellow American compatriot, considering that I'm just the British socialist-bordering-Marxist here.

We should never be above asking any other country for help, or writing them off as an enemy of the state for their corruption and human rights abuses without looking in the mirror first. When America is perfect, that is the day we can hold other countries to the same standard.

While Pakistan is plenty concerning in its own right, I think we can safely say at this point that Russia is far more of a threat to the world than Iraq, North Korea, and Iran ever could have been and ever will be.

So, the question I have for this thread is...  Should we do anything about it right now?  Should we go forward with this missile defense system?  Or should we just cut Georgia loose and take the more isolationist approach?

Edited for clarity...
Actually I, and several other people, agree that USA is the worst threat to the world.

Every conflict there ever is the USA gets involved and stamps its feet.

Agreed...  I've pretty much done a 180 from our discussion earlier.

You're free to believe that, and I think I'll conclude my response with something FM mentioned earlier...  It would be better for us to be less interventionist because if we get the reputation as a wild card that waits and watches rather than as the first to jump in to conflicts, we'll probably get more respect.

So basically, fuck Georgia.  This is their problem, not ours.

You do realize that to disprove that ridiculous statement, all anyone has to do is point out a single conflict where the US has not been involved?

Do you want to modify your claim?

That's a list of conflicts where the US has not been involved? You're not paying attention.

You're certainly proud of your little pet rock, aren't you? I bet you have it bookmarked.

Don't bother to also link to the many posts that ripped that little jewel to shreds.
