I want to set my CPU fan to run at 100% 24/7.  It's a stock fan for an AMD 5200+ and I don't care if it breaks, I will just buy a new one.  I figure if programs like RivaTuner and EVGA Precision allow me to set the GPU fan speed, there must be a program out there that let's me adjust the CPU fan.  Or is this done in the BIOS?

As for speed fan...

I have no idea what Speed01-04 are.  I would like a better program because I can't figure this one out.  Also, are those reasonable temperatures for 100% CPU usage (folding)?

What mobo make do you have? Often the manufacturer has a tool to adjust the fans from software. Also you can set it to adjust speed automatically in BIOS. Should be somewhere in the hardware monitor section of the BIOS

EDIT: the temps are fine. Nothing spectacular but good for a stock cooler

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

That temp is fine, I actually think it's a pretty good temp.

The only thing I know of is using a fan controller like the one that came with my Zalman CNPS9500 LED.  I think they're like $3 on Newegg.

I have an MSI K9N Platinum mobo.  I know it came with a CD so I will check it out for a fan speed program.

EDIT:  The CD won't load on Vista, only supports up to XP.  Yeah this stuff is a couple years old   So I will try the BIOS and maybe shell out for a fan controller.

Just go to the manufacturers website rather then using the CD?

I am on MSI's website but they only have BIOS updates and new drivers in the download section.

You could always cut the speed monitoring wires, and keep the power wires.
