i did a system restore because i had some problems with my wireless network and after that i fixed the problem
but then i got broken pictures in almost every sidebar addon

Looks like it is the fault of whatever website it is getting the info from. Contact whoever made the gadget.

its not it happens for almost all of them
i know its not them its something wrong on my end

Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling the gadgets?

What about java, or whatever it uses to fetch the images from the website and display them? Flash? I am not sure, try reinstalling those things.

That was his whole point.... It looks like nothing is wrong on your end, the problem is likely who ever made the gadget isn't hosting those pictures in the right place....

Sorry no more help from me though, other then to say vistas gadget bar uses more resources then a rain forest logging company (get it, because they are cutting down a shit ton of trees...)

I have that same exact weather gadget and it has always worked fine, never had a broken image.   Do what jamie said.

Ouch, thats quite bad....

In the search bar on the start menu, paste %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\ into it and it will open up the folder where the gadgets are stored.

Delete the ones that you are having problems with, and then try installing them again.
