The owners of the lodge my family rented have a dog and it's had a tumor on it's head for years. She's 14 years old now and still going strong.
Your dog'll be fine.

She's home now, and apparently it was just a lump of fat.

Glad to hear.
My last dog got a tumour. We didnt notice until it was too late and we eventually had to have her put down.
She somehow managed to live a good 2-3 years after we found it though and was happy until the end (well, happy until near the end anyway. Thats why she was put down).
And then a few months after that one of our Black Labs which we've had for about 12-13 years had to be put down too because of kidney problems. He was wasting away. He was an ace dog . His brother is still alive though. Getting very wobbly in his old age though but he's fine .

it was really ominous-feeling too...creeped me out. and this was like 2 weeks after i had just been told ANOTHER lump I had wasn't cancerous. I think I made a thread somewhere.
She's only 14 pounds, you can almost wrap your hand around here stomachkptk92 wrote:

They say she's the ideal weight, but she looks underweight to me.
Dogs are supposed to be thinner than we think. You should be able to feel their ribs easily. They should also have a narrowing at the waist when viewed from the side or the top.Ryan wrote:

Congrats on the good news, btw.
My cat, is the average weight. But he looks obese, because his sister was more ill than the rest, and is underweight.Ryan wrote:
