The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Still didn't click on it!
Nobody can better my awsm biology skillz.
No really...its a form of endocytosis which is the opposite of exocytosis.
Simply put, when a cell envelops ("swallows") the material at hand. A lot of White Blood Cells do this if I'm not mistaken. Neutrophils (I think), part of the inflammatory response also do this to try and get rid of any foreign particles that may have entered through a puncture in the skin.
Last time I took Bio was a few years back, dunno if I remember correctly. There was another thing called "pinoycytosis" (when the cell swallows liquid I think) or something, and I remember that a lot of the Filipinos cracked up at the word.

Yeah you're right about the definition of pinocytosis. Exocytosis is when a cell gets rid of wastes/other stuff which would be like "throwing up" in a way.
Many medical practitioners will tell you this word does not exist. There is no such thing as "UltraMicro".ebug9 wrote:

Yeah, just saw this thread for the first time today. What a massive circle jerk. Let's all show off how clever we are by defining words in common usage, kids!kylef wrote:
