My WLAN experience:

Plug in
Wait 30 seconds
Click on the network from Windows
Done.

Took less than five minutes to set it up, for internet and all. Seriously. I love this, eh, "Netgear "WG602 V3 Wireless Gateway"
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Just don't forget to secure it, I can't tell you how many people don't secure it, or change the pw to the router. Dumb idea.
That was my next question-how do i do that. Enter my ip in the browser?

Enter the IP printed on the router or in the manual, along with the passwords provided. Should be pretty straight forward from there.

Those 30 seconds were for the gateway to boot up.

Can I input that on my primary PC or does it have to be on the laptop that is on wireless connection?

You enter 192.168.1.1 into the browser, I think that is right, then you can login to your router, check manual for default user and pass, then enable WEP, and create a key.
I see I have to do it on the laptop that is on wireless.

It depends on the router. Mine only accepts through WLAN, but I know many that accept only LAN, or both.

Alright I'll do it. Waiting now for my PS3 to update. Will I have to make a new connection on PS3 after I secure the line since now its connected through non-secure line?

Probably, I don't know anything about PS3's, but you might be able to modify the current connection to include the security.

I just got paid 100 euros today to set up someones new wireless network, which took me two hours including the hour it took to go buy the stuff at the store. Not bad I think.

This has little to do with the topic, I just wanted to show off.

Alright so now it asks me for WEP key. Its really long, will I have to input this every time I go online?

Now, to make you feel guilty, here's what I'll do. First of all, if you
don't send this to 5096 people in the next 5 seconds, you will be raped by a mad goat and thrown off a high building into a pile of manure. It's true!
Because, THIS letter isn't like all of those fake ones, THIS one is TRUE!!
Really!!!

Here.

One more question: My dad has a laptop but there are so many safety mechanisms enabled on it that I can't even install software. So it also hasn't detected wireless-it says check if wireless card is enabled, I'm assuming thats cos of the safety mechanisms IT guys at my dad's work put on the laptop. Is there any way to bypass this?

Check if it is trying to use a static IP, if so, check to automatically obtain IP address.

Dad's laptop:
It doesn't even recognize the wireless conection. Its like its disabled. My dad has to use a cable if he wants to connect online.

My laptop:
Next thing is winamp stops playing afte couple of minutes when listening to internet radio. Acer specs say it supports G and also Linksys supports G and the limit is 56k. Shouldn't it go faster on G?
