I actually don't care. But i can appreciate the strategy. I have defended Obama plenty here also.
The fact that lowing is so happy should tell you something is wrong.

Lets go over what has happened.

Obama v. Hillary.  Hillary = experience.  Obama = judgement and CHANGE to Washington (as in, getting rid of the fucking Clintons)

Hillary and McCain pair up and attack Obama for his lack of experience (while at the same time voting for Hillary in the open primaries and the slew of attacks against Obamas patriotism)

Obama wins, Hillary loses.  She drags it out like the bitch that she is.

Meanwhile McCains people are taking more and more "moderate" positions.  You CANNOT deny this.  They have been desperate to make themselves seem less right wing.  The far right has no choice but to vote for McCain, but the middle of the road people are being duped into thinking McCain means MORE change than Obama.

Obama picks Biden.  Biden is not an example of the status quo.  You guys say he is.  Dont know what else to say except you're wrong.  Just read about him.  And good luck after that.

Then McCain picks Palin.  A chick from Alaska who's pretty moderate and has a clean record.  She's not a bad choice.  But wait, who the hell is she?  Oh, it doesn't matter.  Shes unheard of and shes new and shes fresh, so that makes her the same as Obama.

If you cannot see plainly what the GOP is doing and why they picked her especially than you are more shallow than I thought.  She's even complimented Hillary Clinton.  lmfao.

McCains entire campaign so far has been "Look out for Obama, he's new and he's got no experience" while the independent lunatic fringe has been busting their ass trying to paint him as a terrorist and a threat.  I've heard probably a thousand damn McCain ads saying "Obamas popular..... but is he ready to lead?".  TRY THAT NOW MOTHERFUCKERS

Fuckin pisses me off.  The left has been waiting for someone like Obama for the last fucking 30 years.  And here comes McCain and Palin, pretending like THEY are the change we've been waiting for.  LOL

That's my view ... I don't even want McCain on the Pub ticket at all.  I think McCain and Obama are both very poor choices, and Biden should make a Dem's skin crawl (VP??????  The public hates him for President, clearly from the primaries).
Over who though?  lol, Bush and Gore?

McCain was one of the best senators in the country, until he decided to sell his soul in order to win the GOP nomination.  Now he's just another right wing douchebag.

Spear, for the most part, I agree.

But let's face it...  The masses are more willing to accept change in small amounts.  Going from having no black presidents or VP's to having a black president is much more radical than going from having no female presidents or VPs to having a female VP.

Look how long it took for us to have even a black Sec. of State.

The Republicans have played their cards very well in choosing Palin, in order to somewhat neutralize calls for change.  No matter who wins this year, a barrier of some sort will be broken.

I still prefer Obama, but the average person is probably more likely to accept a female VP than a black president.  It's sad but true that both race and gender play a big part in our politics.

As far as my own view on Palin goes, I'm not a big fan of most Alaska politicians.  Mike Gravel was a welcome exception to the rule of Alaska politicians being pork mongers, but he "ran in vain."  I don't know much about Palin, but it is good to see that she is a reformer in her state.

Still, she's WAY too conservative for my tastes.  Even if I was Republican, I wouldn't vote for her.

It should piss you off. I think you are confusing my point. I'm talking strictly about the political play. It is effectively using Obama's words against him (whether valid or not). I'm not looking at this from my own personal opinion. I'm looking at the impact persuading the undecided masses. This smells of Karl Rove. Hate the man if you want, but Rove was a mastermind when it came to this type of game.

Btw, when you take the whole experience manipulation thing out... I'm thinking Biden is going to destroy her in a one on one debate. I would have loved to see a Romny/Biden debate instead.

I think McCain stands a good chance of winning now, but it's hard to say.  We'll see if the polls change any over the next month.

Still, I hope it's Obama.

Well, I've seen what Biden can do, even with the little time the networks gave him during the primaries. I think he's a bit egotistical, but he sure is quick .

Wanna see how he handles a Governor?

Man...  Biden seems like the type who could run circles around most people.  You're right that he has quite an ego, but it seems to be at least partially well-founded.

I'm thinking she could win some votes for McCain from the would-be Clinton voters.  Yes, No?

In other news:

REM frontman Michael Stipe reckons he'll leave the US if McCain gets in.

"It is unfathomable to me as an American and a world citizen that anyone would vote for that man," he said.

"He served his country and he did a good job as a serviceman, I will honour him for that, but he is not presidential material."
Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.

I never liked REM that much anyways.

Orange Crush is a decent song, but meh.

Now, if it was Bruce Springsteen who was going to leave...

It's about McCain being a hypocrite. Bashing Obama for his lack of experience and then picking someone as a VP with even less.

Makes absolutely no sense.

I still stand by my proclamation that Bloomberg would be the ultimate VP for him, but that'd never happen.
Is it as hypocritcal as Biden slamming  Obama and his lack of experience during his campaign, the nstand there and say he is the one who needs to be president.

The best things now are McCains commericals using Hillary and Biden slamming Obama...I love love love it.
Yes, that's why he CHOSE Biden, so he could help him IN THAT AREA!

Obama chose Biden to help him in areas he lacked.

McCain chose Palin to get votes.

Shows you who's really interested in helping the country.
Sounds like sour grapes......Or is Obama the only one who is able to bring "change" or a new perspective to the table?

It sounds rather naive to think Obama wasn't trying to get votes with his VP pick. The president assigns a whole bunch of people (other than the VP) to "help them out".

Oh, I wouldn't doubt it was atleast a part of it...but what gap does Palin fill for McCain?

It's obvious he picked her to get female votes.

It's not part of it.. it's all of it. Otherwise he would have appointed Biden to a cabinet position. You don't start delegating authority before you get the job. Palin is the young fresh face McCain was lacking.

And you are correct if lowing likes it, you might not, since the only thing that lowing likes is self reliance over govt. control, and the freedom t ochoose and make my own decisiions without govt. interference.....So yeah, you wouldn't wanna like what I like.

Again more sour grapes......You contend that Obama was picked for any other reason than to break away from the old white guy in the white house routine. Then here comes a good lookin chick to steal some of that rediculous thunder and wham..Spearhead is pissed.
