nonono....above a certain altitude (about 800 at dalian and 850 at wake) the f35 with afterburner is able to reach 3500kmh but as far as i know its enough with 300 or a little less to outrun missiles...and if you get locked on at say reactor towers at dalian youll need to get up above 750 and stay with full speed and afterburner at that altitude to outrun the missile and its not like dalian map is so huge you can do it without going out of bounds (outside the mapzone/ leaving the "battlefield" where you have a certain ammount of time before you start to take damage) so basicly if you fly as medic you can almost always do a stratorun if you're not at the one side of the map and start doing the stratorun towards the "get killed zone" because you will automatically heal your self ( you arent invincible but it takes about twice the time before you die than with non-medic kits)...understand now ? , shit man when did you last play bf2? release date ?xBlackPantherx wrote:

Hahahaha ohhhh ok okok. I told you I hadn't played in a while hahaha. I've been playing CSS for a while but now I've kinda bailed on that now for 24/7 Dalian servers and my favorite =TBU= Ghost Town etc. My fav dalian server is good enough to have some really good players, I can almost always find a 2-3 star general in there but no chopper jet whores. The people who play in there do know how to use all the choppers and jets well but don't whore them; only use when its needed.thepilot91 wrote:

Heh, these threads are funny
A j-10 is better in every way compared to the f-35 except in one thing.
1) The J-10 has a better turn radius, that means it will turn in a smaller circle. This agains means that if both planes circle, the J-10 will always be able to follow the F-35, but the F-35 will never be able to follow the J-10. Someone refers to this as turning faster.
2) J-10 has good dodging abilities. A slight turn is often enough to dodge the missiles on your tail. Fly on your back and you are close to unhittable (even though there are ofc some tricks to get hits if the J-10 pilot does this)
If you combine these two it means that if you get behind a j-10 in a F-35 and lock on the j-10 will almost always be able to get away. He can just do a sharp turn and drop flares. Due to the flight characteristics of the j-10, he will be able to dodge the missle most of the time and get out of your lock on range (view) cause he is able to do sharper turns. Likevice, if the j-10 get behind the F-35, the j-10 will be able to follow every turn the f-35 makes, and once the f-35 has spent his flares, he is as good as dead, since he will not be able to dodge the missiles whatever he does (99%) of the time.
So thus, you cant really compare those planes, they were never intended to be equal. Some may ask why, and the best explination i have heard, atleast with regard to dragon valley, is that the US have a UCB, while chinas isnt, thus the chinese need better air craft to help defend their air field (for game balance overall).
Basically, if you have two equally good pilots, one in a F-35, and one in a J-10. The J-10 will always win. This doesnt mean that the J-10 can be shot down. A good F-35 pilot can "own" medium skilled J-10 pilots. Even the best pilot can be shot down while flying a j-10 public.
BTW, the F-35 is better in the following way:
1) Faster roll speed
2) Higher maximum air speed in high altitudes

the f35 has also MUCH better reactiontime... wich makes it hard for a j10 to follow a good pilot in a f35, and yes the j10 has a very small hitbox which make them harder to hit with missiles, but if fire in the right angle betweem the j10s path of flight and the f35s they will hit...soumileet wrote:

@Thepilot91, what you say as reaction time is roll speed, nothing else. Mentioned in the above post. As you say, if you shoot missles at the right angle with the right lead, you might get them to hit. But there is nothing like "it will hit" on a J-10. And this only applies if the J-10 is out of flares and if is doing close to a constant turn, not rolling.thepilot91 wrote:

Nobody should come here and say that they know how to shoot a missle at a J-10 in a way that makes it hit close to every time, cause such a thing doesnt exist. You can increase your chanse of scoring a hit on a missle by doing the right things, but nothing is for certain. And the tech. that increases your chanse of hit seldom work if the j-10 has flares (and knows when to drop em), and especially if he does anything else then just turning.
I would like to see you hit more then 30% on a decent J-10 pilot doing a inverted turn with rudder, while he still has flares ......

yes it is true but that is ofc similar to all planes but if the j10 is in a peticular angle to the f35 when fireing the missile(s) it/they will hit (IF the j10 doesnt change direction, because then the angle is broken so it wount hit ofc) so again in the correct angle it will hit(without flares ofc) same is to all planes the missile wount hit if you dodge in the exact right moment, wich is very hard in many planes .soumileet wrote:

Honestly I love the F-18 against anything.
Key to take out a J10 is to fire away, switch to bombs, then switch back to missiles. Lots of times you don't even have to reacquire the lock.
I hate the F-18. Handles like an utter dog.CC-Marley wrote:

F18 is awesome
DUDE. THIS REVELATION REALLY BLOWS MY MIND. I've never ever realised that to be honest. Like, before, I always had a bad gut feeling whenever I was in a f35 and was being chased by a j10.
Now, because of you, I can sleep better. Thank a lot numbah 1 soljaboy fan.
(oh and off topic, Thanks for all the help with the claymore foundation. we really appreciate it.)

You have to learn the rules of the game and then you have to play better than anyone else.
Well? What one is?0akleaves wrote:

Either F35 or J10, depending on your point of view
The F-18 is better for survivability, I just don't like flying it
