I watched that democratic rally thingyamijig. I think I heard the word God almost as much as the word America.

Aside from all the politicking, one-upping and general "Blah-Blah-Blah" of pre-election tomfoolery, Obama has said quite a few things that have really stuck with me.
This is my favorite.

He's right... completely. The world is shrinking, and will shrink even more. It's time to realize that, without a dictatorship, America can't be the Christian nation that it both claims to be, and claims not to be. Theocratic philosophy will do nothing but further our ignorance.

Discuss.
So he's admitting the "hyphenation" of America that his left-wing brethren have embraced and encouraged is disconcerting. Good for him.

Sorry, I meant who that actually matters what comes out of their mouth said that about modern day America.
It's not what's said, it's what's demonstrated. If a candidate comes out and says they are not christian they could easily lose the south.

Edit: Ok, hyperbole. But there are a lot of people in the Us that will not vote for a non-christian, which is why the whole "Obama is islamic" thing was such a big deal.

Americans, your part of the world. The Baseball World Series, isn't really a world series.

I'd be willing to bed my savings that at least one (and probably more than a few) of the western world's "christian" leaders are only "christian" because they know they wouldn't get voted for if they weren't. So yeah... I think we've had a few atheistic presidents. More than a few.
