How come all those threads are still active while one comment about Jewish heroes gets a thread closed before it hits page two? I'm not saying we have to lay off Islam, I'm just asking why the bias?
He was a known anti-semitic before that post.
So are Islamic threads that are started by people who have called Islam a disease or mental disorder in the past instantly closed? I think you'll find they are not.

Again i will stress that I'm not asking for people to give Islam any special privileges, just fair treatment for all religions.
When all religions have a significant number of followers who strap bombs to themselves (and others...to include the mentally handicapped) and blow up crowds of civilians in the name of their religion (right or wrong, that is the justification they use), you probably will see an equivalent outcry.

But as Alpha pointed out, you don't see that from other religions' followers, in general.

I'm not saying that the fundamentalist extremist terrorist Muslims are correct, or that they represent Islam...only that when they claim their actions are in the name of Allah and in accordance with Muslim teachings, they bring negative light on their religion as a whole.

Well, the fair and unbiased thing to do is what you say.

But islam is the only religion that supports strapping bombs on yourself and flying planes into buildings so fuck it.
And sects of atheists support and justify the mass killing of millions upon millions via 'science and reason' to eradicate the 'inadequate' in the vision of a seamless utopia.

Christianity once supported the mass killings of thousands whether it was for going against the church, for 'witch hunts' etc. Not to mention the millions they fucked over by sending them to their deaths in the crusades in promise of eternal salvation.

Jews...well I don't have anything on Jews.

Buddhism, again, nothing. Buddhism is actually what religion I'd be if I had one. Makes the utmost sense.

That's most of the main religions. If I had to choose the worst out of the evils I'd probably have to say Christianity is the worst; not that I really have anything against anyone who believes in it as long as their sensible and not mindless hypocrites.

This should be common knowledge now that the few doesn't represent the majority as you mention ...

Other religions may not use suicide bombers but if you take a look at what religions are under major pressure these days and with what other means they can "fight back" ... other religions have also done monstrousities in the name of God, several sects have ended theirs and others lives in his name just as easily as suicide bombers have for their God ...

So maybe not in the same degree but still ...

Not really much different from strapping bombs to the underside of aeroplanes and blowing up crowds of civilians in the name of Freedom and Liverty, Capitalism vs Communism, War on Terror, whatever today's excuse is to keep the military industrial complex oiled and bring the Rapture a few steps closer.

our well known Ausch 88 was correctly banned for saying that there only were 3 Jewish heroes.  I really felt offended by that comment, even when I don't practice Judaism.
I'm sorry to backtrack serge, but I really don't understand this: How can you be offended by that comment? Ok, so it's a false statement. So what? Should I be offended every time some ignorant prick calls Skopje Macedonia? Is it offensive that Ottomania doesn't recognise the Armenian Genocide?  It's wrong alright, but so are a million things people say. Since when is ignorance a reason to get banned?

Same with religion: What the fuck is wrong with religions these days being offended by everything? Muhammad drawn in a picture, Pope shitting in the woods. I say fuck the whiny bastards who get offended by that shit, and fuck religion altogether. Whoever can't handle insults and false beliefs by morons then  P L E A S E    G T F O!!!!

Meh, DST allows bashing Christianity, too.  Religion in general is the popular dead horse here if you haven't noticed.

We should hold a convert thread, a big glorious thread in which people try to lure people away from religion. Impossible? No. Hard, yes.

Oh so another thread bashing everyone's chosen faith in an attempt to get them to abandon it?  Sounds like all the other threads tbh.

With the exception that I was talking about religion and killing innocents deliberately in the name of religion. So, other than your points not being at all related to the topic at hand...yeah, they're not much different.

And a quick note: Airstrikes aren't done in the name of "Freedom and Liverty(sic), Capitalism vs Communism, War on Terror, whatever today's excuse is to keep the military industrial complex oiled and bring the Rapture a few steps closer." But that is one hell of a conspiracy reach with nothing to back it up...good form. I would expect no less from you.

Killing people in the name of a doctrine then, that and Christian extremism.

Hmmm, I haven't heard anyone in Christianity calling for innocent people to be targeted, nor have the coalition strikes targeted civilians.  Next.

Nevertheless a fundamentally Christian country has fought a lot of wars and killed a lot of people, in the name of various spurious crusades.
And there are Christians working hard to ensure the arabs are either annihilated or at least expelled from the holy land.
Israel apparently can kill whoever they like, so long as they say they are not specifically targetting civilians as they do it.

As I've said before, 95% of all major we know today would have never happened if it weren't for religion. The world would be 99% different. The 1% set aside for natural earthly occurrences.

wow wow wow wow!

if you think me calling a religion a disease is the same as someone approving and celebrating the fact that millions of jews were killed and put into camps, then you and serge have some major fucking issues.  my god.  i mean really.  do you honestly think that or are you being a self righteous attention whore?

I disagree.  If you get rid of religion all of sudden, human kind isnt going to start holding hands and skipping down the street with eachother.

Refer again to my previous post.  You can label the military action of the US a “crusade” because of the religious demographic of our nation, however no military action has been taken solely on religious grounds.  And Arab folks aren’t all Muslim …
