This is a union on BF2S of all the IB people of the world...past, present and future. Intended to facilitate the sharing of resources, tips and lame jokes.

1. Those of you doing your EE...what topic/progress?

2. Courses: advice, info, choices...and grade your courses

1. The ICJ and the reconstruction of the former Yugoslavia. (In french), I'm at 700 words, due on Sept. 28th

I did the IB a couple of years ago

My EE was on how MRIs work (physics).

I did Physics HL (7), Math HL (6), Chem HL (6.5), English A1 SL (5), German A2 SL (5.5) and economics SL (6)

I've always been into science, so once I'm done with law next spring, I'll study physics.

must be different here in the states. i did it the first 2 years then said fuck it. my sis did it all 4 yrs.

ive heard that the majority of us schools dont even look for ib, and not completing it didnt hurt my chances of getting in to any of the schools i applied for. this was 4-8 yrs ago, so it might have changed since then

The MARK your courses bit what was the numbers are about. I hate math, for instance.

I only did the last 2 years, no point on doing any of the earlier stuff. Over here in Europe, the american high school diplomas aren't worth the paper they are printed on. Getting your country's high school diploma recognized in another country can be rather difficult while all universities accept IBs. We don't really have a system like the SAT here. What uni you can get into is decided purely by your high school grades.

to get the ib diploma here, you have to complete all 4 yrs. no exceptions.

yeah pre-ib. forgot it wasnt full ib until 11th grade. but you still had to do the 2 pre-ib years to get the diploma

Well the IBO doesn't require you to do pre-IB. Schools are free to only register students for the IB diploma according to their own criteria though.
