Works fine here.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

It is supposed to be audio only with picture in background right?

If so works fine. If there is supposed to be a video too then that isn't working.

Youtube is buggy, glitchy, and slow considering how poor the video quality is.

How exactly did it become so popular?

Yeh, only picture.

@Strangelove: Because it's free, and every fucker with a $5/mo DSL can view it.

it worked fine for me, if your having problems try metacafe, its basically the same thing as youtube.

www.metacafe.com

if its not that then something is wrong with your PC, it could be time for a good clean up and defragment or even a reg cleaner. or it could be as simple as your browser may need updating. I been using the mozilla firefox browser and ive had no problems with it yet

If you're using Firefox this is a common problem that occurs in any flash-application when you have too many open at once simultaneously. I don't know what the exact 'figure' is, but I do know that the only way to fix it is to restart the firefox.exe so it can reload all of the flash applications and ActiveX controls.

To see the case in point: Open about 3 firefox windows and navigate to different websites. On the first Firefox window open about 10 YouTube tabs and try to view the videos. They'll normally freeze within 3 seconds or will refuse point-blank to play the audio.

Depends on how powerful your computer is.
