You euros have no idea what it means to have no public transportation. I have literally never been on a city bus in or around my city, and hardly ever see one. The only train I know of is the one recently set up to pretty much just go downtown and back. That's it. Everyone has cars. At most people might ride the school bus for convenience or because their parents took the car to work.
Also, I found it funny that the first post with significant public transportation after my original post said it was a bunch of commie leftovers.

I just walk or run everywhere, the very, very few times I get a bus I'm always with someone. It's so rare that if I'm with someone walking isn't boring so we just do that anyway.
