I have only the basic air and ground defense badges. I was wondering, is it possible to get the veteran/expert air defense badge using the AA turret on the USS Essex? Or do you have to use stinger missiles or AA tank? About the ground defense badge, I noticed many mounted machine guns placed throughout the map, mounted on buildings. Do you have to use those? Or can you get it by using mounted machine guns on tanks/cars?

The above two make very valid points, however i'm feeling generous.
Yes on the Essex, Yes for the turrets mounted on walls and No for the turrets on vehicles.
Just command from either AA or Mounted on wake and use arty to rack up the kills. Cheap but effective, got me my two.

Please don't use the commander 'cheat' listed above. As he said it is cheap, cheap ,cheap. Your other questions are answered. Surge (easy since helos can't see you) and Kubra are good maps for AA. Just remember to concentrate on shooting down aircraft while avoiding tanks and APC. The Linebacker is a good anti-infantry weapons system so you can easily get your kills doing that alone. The other systems SUCK at infantry killing.
